A fatal collision on Highway 77 in Leamington, Ontario, on Thursday morning, October 29, 2026, has left one person dead and another injured. The two-vehicle, head-on crash occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m., prompting a response from Essex County Ontario Provincial Police, Leamington Fire Department and Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services.
According to police information, the driver of one vehicle sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. The driver of the other vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The identity of the deceased driver had not been publicly confirmed in the initial reports.
